Final Grant Report: “Free Group Fitness Classes Building a Healthy Community”

Final Grant Report: “Free Group Fitness Classes Building a Healthy Community”

I’m pleased to present South Baltimore Gateway Partnership with our final grant report on GiveFit’s “Free Group Fitness Classes Building a Healthy Community”. During our 3-month program we met a ton of new friends and impacted the Lakeland Community in a major way using the GiveFit Streamer to host daily health and wellness classes. Our weekly free yoga class was a great success, ending with a handoff to Lakeland resident Akilah Moore to continue running the program on an ongoing basis as a GiveFit Ambassador. Another major highlight was Healthy Living Educator, Inga Froneberger’s, daily yoga and mindfulness classes with Lakeland Elementary and Middle School students. Inga uses the Streamer to stream in mindfulness and fitness content to support her daily curriculum.  The students love it and Inga has noted reports of improvement in overall mental health from students, parents, and teachers.

Check out our video wrapping up the GiveFit Streamer at Lakeland:
