What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment refers to activities intended to bring pleasure, enjoyment and relaxation to people. It includes activities such as watching movies or TV, listening to music or attending concerts, playing games, participating in sports and other physical activity, reading books or magazines and creating or appreciating visual arts. Entertainment is often associated with fun and laughter, but it can also be serious. It may be aimed at a single individual, for example in the form of a banquet adapted to two people; or it may be intended for larger groups, such as a public dance or theater performance. It can also take the form of ceremonies, religious festivals and satire.
